T4 Art - Jungle Prints and Facts about Henri Rousseau

Hello again readers, second blog in less than an hour.. wow.

Over the past week or two in art we have been doing jungle prints. It has been quite frustrating but at the same time fun, having to trace and colour to perfection. I spent about 4 days tracing, then another 4 colouring. I tried to put a lot of different colours into the scene for variety. Here is my work.

Tyler, Bryce and Kamen's Healthy Food Menu

Hello readers, welcome back to my blog. Today I've got something special for you to read.

Today and yesterday me, Bryce and Kamen have crafted a healthy food menu! It is part of our health class and the "healthy eating" module. Surprisingly we only spent about 40 minutes on doing this and it was very fun! We got to choose our own meals to put into the menu (keep in mind they have to be healthy) and list the ingredients. We tried to keep the meals appropriate for the days, like roasts early in the week, slightly unhealthy stuff later in the week, and healthy stuff in the middle. We made the breakfasts very healthy every day, like smoothies, toast, and weet bix. Here is the menu, I hope we gave you some ideas.

Maori Myths and Legends

Hello readers. Welcome back to my blog. Today in Hurumanu we have been learning about Maori Myths and Legends. The main legend we were learning about was called Maui and The Sun. I will be sharing with you, one of the activities I did in the TWENTY NINE PAGE activity slide.

So, we had to make up our own poster to find someone who was willing to make the sun move slower, in the event had Maui not done it. Here is what I did, it is fairly straightforward.

Hmm.. hefty cash prize. But, being paid that much by having to overcome having 1000th degree burns, burning an arm off, and getting screamed at by the sun at about 1000000000dB, doesn't sound like enough. For me, at LEAST $100,000,000 is worth it.

Well I think I have done enough talking. I'll see you in the next very boring blog.

Science T4 - Making Sherbet

 Aim:

I want to find out how to make sherbet.

Research:

Method
  • Equipment
  • Raro
  • Citric acid
  • baking soda
  • water
  • popsicle stick
  • little cup

Instructions
  1. Get 3 separate piles of raro, citric acid and baking soda.
  2. Put some into your cup.
  3. Mix it together with your popsicle stick.
  4. put water in it.
  5. D R I N K

Results

When you add each thing into the cup and mix it, it creates a different taste. The more citric acid you pour, the more sour it gets. The more raro you pour, the more flavor it gets.

Discussion

Why did it foam?

It started foaming because the baking soda was put into it, which mixed with the citric acid. This then made the atoms in the acid recombine into carbon dioxide gas that made it fizz up.

T4 Art - Foreground, Middle Ground and Background + Facts

Hello readers. On Monday in art we learnt about the foreground, middle ground and background in photos. We each had a photo of Henri Rousseau's painting and we had to cut out the foreground, middle ground and background and point out the different plants and stuff. Here is my work.

As you can see, we had to point the different things out in the different grounds and notice the differences.

FACTS -

1. One of his most popular artworks were The Sleeping Gypsy.

2.His first published painting was created in 1886.

3.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and I'll see you next time.
